Six local Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants will celebrate the 10th Annual DQ Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 30.  Donations raised through Blizzard Treat Day will support T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

One dollar from every Blizzard Treat sold on July 30 at participating restaurants in Chattanooga, Hixson, Cleveland, and Jasper in Tennesee. and Blue Ridge and Dalton in Georgia, will be donated to Children’s Hospital, one of the 170 hospitals supported by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals).

Officials said that every minute, 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment, and one in ten children in North America is treated at CMN Hospitals each year.
CMN Hospitals raises funds to help save and improve the lives of kids treated at member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.  Like all CMN Hospitals campaigns, donations raised will stay in the community to help local kids.

“Last year, our Dairy Queen partners raised over $8,000 on DQ Miracle Treat Day for Children’s Hospital,” said Rebecca Brinkley, CMN Hospitals director for Children’s Hospital.  “All funds raised by our regional locations will stay local to benefit Children’s Hospital’s Believe Campaign to build the new children’s hospital.”

The featured DQ Miracle Treat Day “Blizzard Treat of the Day” will be Oreo which is still the most popular Blizzard Treat to date. The featured Blizzard of the Month is the ROLO Minis Blizzard Treat, made with ROLO Minis, smooth caramel and blended with creamy vanilla soft serve. All other Blizzard flavors also are available on July 30.

Over the last 31 years, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $100 million for CMN Hospitals in local communities through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign and other local initiatives.
