Robert Godby, 78, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, died on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence.
Robert was born September 26, 1936 in Matewan, WV a son of the late William and Edna Adams Godby; and was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Godby Jr.; and brothers, Bill Godby and Tom Godby.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Godby of the residence; sons, Bill Godby of Florida, Paul Godby of New York, James Tucker of Ohio and John Tucker of Utah; daughter, Teresa Perkins of Ohio; brothers, Don Godby and Jim Godby; sisters, Dot Maynard, Opal Wulderk, Mary Kennedy, Luci Sigler and Sylvia Lecliar; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday July 2. Private family Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at the Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
