The face of the Chattanooga riverfront continues to change as developers expand an apartment complex just south of Ross’s Landing.

The complex, which is owned by Evergreen Real Estate and which is being called Cameron Harbor, has several buildings under construction with the first one set to open on Sept. 1 and the second to open on Jan. 1.

Originally, 84 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments were open for pre-leasing agreements in the smaller building which is the one opening in September, but now it is over 50 percent claimed.

The larger building will contain 151 units but will also have a saltwater pool, clubhouse, fitness center, and ample outdoor seating with fire pits and grill stations.

A one-bedroom apartment ranges in price during this pre-leasing session from $810 to $1,000 monthly, while the two-bedroom units go for between $1,225 and $1,400. A representative also said that the first month is free, but there are additional fees for pets.

In addition to the amenities within or right next to the buildings, Evergreen is working on reconstructing a dock which sits 15 feet above the river. This will have additional seating and a raised bed garden running down the center.

Finally, the Nashville-based company is also constructing a series of townhomes adjacent to the apartments and river. The first phase of these buildings has already been bought, but construction on the second and third phases is set to start soon.

Evergreen also owns Northshore Village, Meridian at Hamilton Point, and The Grove at Hickory Valley in Chattanooga, although this development is their first new construction in the city.
