Huck Finn Family Paddling Adventure July 10 
Join Outdoor Chattanooga on a Huck Finn Family Paddling Adventure on Fri., July 10 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. We'll paddle canoe pontoons through the Chickamauga Lock and travel down the Tennessee River.
All equipment and transportation will be provided by Outdoor Chattanooga. Bring your own picnic dinner and drinks to enjoy while floating down the river. Cost is $35 per person and pre-registration is required. Email Outdoor Chattanooga or call (423) 643-6888 to register.

Nickajack Bat Cave Canoe Tours Begin Fridays July 10 thru Sept. 25 
Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a family friendly, guided Canoe Tour to the Nickajack Bat Cave on Fridays at 7 p.m. EST beginning July 10 through Sept. 25. We'll paddle to the mouth of the cave to watch the bats emerge at dusk for their nightly feeding, then meander back to the launch after dark. All equipment will be provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga. Cost is $10 for children ages 13 and under and $20 for ages 14 and up. Reservations are required. To make a reservation or for more information email Outdoor Chattanooga or call (423) 643-6888.
Guided Bicycle Tour with Chattanooga History Center July 11

Join Outdoor Chattanooga and the Chattanooga History Center on Sat., July 11 at 8:30 a.m. for a leisurely paced,guided bicycle tour of downtown Chattanooga. We'll bike from Coolidge Park to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and back, approximately 2 hours round trip while historian, Caroline Sunderland provides an interactive narrative of the transportation history of Chattanooga. The tour is appropriate for ages 15 and up when accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 for Chattanooga History Center members and $10 for non-members. Participants can BYO-Bicycle, utilize a Chattanooga bike share bike, or borrow an urban cruiser from the Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga's mobile fleet. Helmets are required for all participants. *Chickamauga Battlefield Bicycle Tour July 18
Outdoor Chattanooga and the National Park Service will host a free bicycle history tour of Chickamauga Battlefield on Sat., July 18, 9:30 a.m., beginning in the lower parking lot of the Battlefield Visitors Center, in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. Adults and kids ages 8 and older are invited to join the tour with their own bicycles, or riders 5' tall and over may borrow a bike from the Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga Mobile Bicycle Fleet. To borrow a bicycle, call the visitors center at (706) 866-9241. All riders under the age of 16 must wear a helmet.

*Zoe's Rainbow Dash for Children's Charities July 4
Run, walk or roll on this mostly flat 5K, which happens on Sat., July 4 around the Hamilton Place Mall. Race start time is 8:30 a.m. The event benefits local children's charities, such as the Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Bethlehem Center. Online registration closes a midnight tonight, Tues., July 1.

Rock/Creek Learn How to SUP Series Held Tuesdays through Aug. 25
Rock/Creek is hosting an Intro to Stand Up Paddle Board series on Tuesdays, through Aug. 25 at Warner Park Pool, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. There are two, 1 hour sessions offered each Tues. at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 4 and 11, the Intro to Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga will be offered in place of the intro to SUP session. *Learn to Row July 20 - Aug. 1
The Lookout Rowing Club will host a Learn to Row 10-day clinic, Mon., July 20 - Aug., 1 at the William Raoul Rowing Center on Riverside Dr. Cost is $200 and includes all equipment and instruction. Each two week session will include 10 classes, scheduled as follows: Mon. - Thurs., 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sat., 9:00 a.m.-11 a.m. The class fee may be credited towards a membership in the rowing club. All equipment will be provided but basic swimming skills are required. Students are encouraged to wear snug fitting athletic clothing and should keep in mind they may get wet. 


 *Marathon Training Program Kick-off July 23 

The Chattanooga Track Club will kick off a 16 week marathon training program with an information and orientation session on Thurs., July 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St. in Coolidge Park.  The program will help runners prepare for the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, Half Marathon and Jr. Marathon which takes place on Sat., Nov. 14. All interested members of the public are invited to attend the information session to learn more.
