Morgan, Jo Ann (Spring City)

Jo Ann Morgan, 79, of Spring City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was born in Auburn, KY on February 12, 1936 a daughter of William Ray Reynolds and Alma Charlyne Gill Reynolds. Jo Ann was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Spring City. She relocated to Spring City from Dayton, TN in 1972.  Jo Ann was very active in her community, the Spring City Women's Club, the Red Hats, the Women's Missionary Union and a member of the Hannah Sunday School. She and her late husband Joe owned and operated Johnson Furniture Store in Spring City for many years. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph "Joe" Morgan; two sons, William David Morgan and John Reynolds Morgan; and one brother, Charles Ray Reynolds. 

She is survived by two daughters, Shawn Elaine Morgan Lenoir and Lee Ann Morgan Hays; five grandchildren all of Spring City, Chadwick Drake Hays, David Bradlee Hays, Morgan Lee Hays Geiger (Tripp), Rachel Lee Lenoir Holt and John Tyler Lenoir; five great-grandchildren, Peyton Grace Houston, Titan Nathaneal Houston, Trenton Lee Geiger, Camden James Geiger and Colten Drake Geiger; and numerous other extended family members and special friends. 

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
