Charlotte Rose Jensen, 79, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
She was born on December 23, 1935 to the late Glen and Edna Cox. Charlotte had been a resident of Cleveland for more than 25 years, after moving from Chicago, IL where she was born and raised. She was of the Baptist faith, an avid housewife and homemaker, bird watcher, lover of flowers, and extremely devoted to her family.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Jensen Sr.; son, Donald Jensen; son-in-law, Christopher Powers; and sisters, Grace Pierce and Mildred Kermer.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori Peterson and Carol Powers; two sons, Harry Jensen Jr. and Glen Jensen; brother, Robert Cox (Betty); step-brothers, Bruce Hofman (Lori) and Richard Hofman (Kim); brothers-in-law, Charles Pierce and Ross Kermer; sister, Ramona Jensen (Raymond); step-sister, Debra Hofman; five grandchildren, Jeremey Jensen (Melissa), Harry Jensen IV (Sara Fitzgerald), Mark Peterson (Cesia), Kate Peterson and Andrew Peterson; three great-grandchildren, James Jensen, Deanna Jensen and Isabelle Peterson; one sister-in-law, Joyce Broersma (Suzie); and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. at East Cleveland Baptist Church on Monday June 29, with a small service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Joe Lockman officiating.
A funeral service and interment will happen in Chicago at Mt. Hope Cemetery under the care of Lawn Funeral Home.
