A home at Morning Glory Farms in the Highway 58 area was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon.
At 12:10 p.m., a homeowner called 911 reporting a house fire at 6418 Morning Glory Drive (Highway 58 area).
The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported the garage and attic were on fire. Firefighters immediately requested a Mutual Aid response for water tenders to shuttle water to the scene since there was not a fire hydrant close by.
The Tri Community VFD, Bradley County Fire Rescue and Catoosa County Fire Department responded to assist Highway 58 VFD. Since the fire was involved, firefighters conducted a defensive attack to keep the fire finder control.
Damages are a total loss and valued at $140,000.
No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Hamilton County Special Tactics and Rescue (STARS) responded to the scene for rehab. The East Ridge Fire Department responded to Highway 58 VFD Station One for emergency calls and the Bradley County Fire Rescue responded to Highway 58 VFD Station Two for emergency calls.
The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist two adults for their immediate needs.
