Shots Fired Into A Crowd On Wilcox Boulevard; Monchello Jessup, 20, Hit

Police said shots were fired into a crowd on Wilcox Boulevard on Tuesday night. Monchello Jessup, 20, was shot.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 2333 Wilcox Blvd. for a shooting.

Witnesses stated that unknown suspects drove by the address and opened fire into a small crowd.

Jessup said he was standing in the crowd shooting a music video when the shots rang out. He said as he was running, he noticed he had been shot. He was transported via personal vehicle to a local hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Witnesses initially said there were multiple people shot, but only one victim has been confirmed at this time.
