Tennessee's Best Bagger To Be Decided At Annual Contest

  • Tuesday, June 2, 2015
The annual contest to crown Tennessee’s best grocery bagger is scheduled to be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center on Friday, June 5, at 3 p.m.  The Tennessee’s Best Bagger competition is part of the annual convention and exposition of the Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association.

Groceries will be flying at this fast-paced, entertaining and visually interesting contest, which features baggers from across Tennessee.  The contestants will be judged on bagging speed; style, attitude and appearance; proper bag building technique; and distribution of weight between bags.
The finals round will occur at approximately 4:15 p.m., followed immediately by awards presentations.

The winner of the Tennessee’s Best Bagger competition will be qualified to represent Tennessee at the National Grocers Association national Best Bagger contest at the association’s convention in Las Vegas in February.  Tennessee’s winner will also receive a $750 scholarship from the Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation and a $250 scholarship from NGA.
