Outdoor Chattanooga-Rock/Creek Paddlesports Clinics & Demo Day June 20
Join Outdoor Chattanooga and Rock/Creek for some free paddling fun at Harrison Bay State Park, on Sat., June 20 from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
Free clinics will be held in the morning 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Space is limited and 
pre-registration is required. Free demos are open to the public from 12 to 2 p.m. A SUP race-open to all abilities and ages, will start at 2 p.m. Keep an eye on the Facebook event page for a full schedule and additional details.

Rapid Learning at Chester Frost Park Tonight, Wed., June 17

The Rapid Learning Whitewater Kayaking Program will be at Chester Frost County Park every Wed. with two sessions: 6 and 7 p.m., just past the park swimming area. Interested members of the public can come to either session and try the program for free. If you decide to continue, you can join the program and access equipment and instruction all year round. *Downtown Kayak Adventure June 19
Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a beginner friendly kayak tour on the Tennessee Riveron Fri. June 19 at 8:30 a.m. The leisurely paced, guided tour will begin and end at the Northshore at Coolidge Park. Instruction will be provided by Outdoor Chattanooga staff and all equipment will be provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga. Adults and kids ages 8 and up are welcome. Paddlers 8-13 years old must paddle in tandem with an adult. Cost is $35 per adult and $25 for kids age 8-13. Reservations are required in advance. *Chickamauga Battlefield Bike Ride with NPS June 20
Outdoor Chattanooga and the National Park Service will host a free history tour of Chickamauga Battlefield on Sat., June 20, 9:30 a.m., beginning in the lower parking lot of the Battlefield Visitors Center, in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. Adults and kids ages 8 and older are invited to join the tour with their own bicycles, or riders 5' tall and over may borrow a bike from the Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga mobile bicycle fleet. To borrow a bicycle, call the visitors center at (706) 866-9241. All riders under the age of 16 must wear a helmet.  

*Huck Finn Family Paddling Adventure June 25
Join Outdoor Chattanooga on a Huck Finn family padding adventure on Thurs., June 25 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. We'll paddle canoe pontoons through the Chickamauga Lock and travel down the Tennessee River. All equipment and transportation will be provided by Outdoor Chattanooga. Bring your own picnic dinner and drinks to enjoy while floating down the river. Cost is $35 per person and pre-registration is required.Email Outdoor Chattanooga or call (423) 643-6888 to register. 
*Guided Kayak Tour: A History of Downtown Chattanooga June 27
Join Outdoor Chattanooga and the Chattanooga History Center on a beginner friendly,guided kayak tour of downtown Chattanooga on Sat., June 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m.All equipment is provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga. CHC Senior Educator, Caroline Sunderland will provide a historical narrative and pictures of the Tennessee River during the paddle. The tour is open to kids ages 8 and up. Kids 8-13 must paddle tandem with an adult. Cost is $45 per adult and $35 for kids 8-13. Reservation and payment is required in advance. *Kids for Clean Water Summer Camps June 22-26July 6-10 & July 13-17
A weekly summer kids camp focusing on water, nature, science and fun for kids age 8-12 still has openings. The camp dates are June 22-26 (Signal Mountain)July 6-10 (Audubon Acres, East Brainerd) and July 13-17 (Greenway Farms, Hixson). All camps run Mon. through Fri. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before and after care is available if needed. Cost is $150 per week per child. The Tennessee Youth Mountain Bike Racing Series continues with the FahrvergNOOGA race at the Log Rhythm Trail at Enterprise South Nature Park onSat., June 20.  The race has classes for children ages 2 to 15 years old and will start at 10 a.m.Registration deadline is Fri. June 19 at 8 p.m. No race day registrations. The race is sponsored by theVelo Vixens

Market Street Mile June 20
The Chattanooga Track Club and Market Street Solutions present the Market Street Mile, a 1-mile course in downtown Chattanooga, to benefit Go Red for Women and the American Heart Association on Sat., June 20. The event is comprised of a series of heats divided by age and gender. To find out more information or to register for the race in advance, visit Chattanooga Track Club's website. Race day registration 7 to 8:30 a.m. beside Big River Grille. 

*Rock/Creek Learn How to SUP Series Held Tuesdays June 23-Aug. 25
Rock/Creek is hosting an Intro to Stand Up Paddle Board series on Tuesdays, June 23 through Aug. 25 at Warner Park Pool, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. There are two, 1 hour sessions offered each Tues. at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 4 and 11, theIntro to Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga will be offered in place of the intro to SUP session. All equipment/gear provided and reservations are required. VisitRock/Creek website for more details and to register. 
*A Call to Arms: Civil War Day Camp July 14-16 and July 21-23
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites children in grades 4-8 to participate in their 6th annual summer camp entitled A Call to Arms: Civil War Day Camp. The first camp will be held Tues. through Thurs., July 14-16 for grades 4-6. The second camp will be held Tues. through Thurs., July 21-23 for grades 7-8. The camps will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. daily at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center. Camp participation is limited and registration deadline isWed., July 3rd.
