Since 2006, the Transitional Year Residency program at UTCOM- Chattanooga has held an annual bench press competition among physicians, hospital employees, and hospital administrators. Officials said, "The event has been very successful in the past years thanks to sponsors. Over the past nine years the event has raised over $14,000 to support domestic violence victims in the Chattanooga/Hamilton County and surrounding area."
