Communication Students At UTC Win 3 Associated Press Awards

Communication students at UTC who write and produce Mocs News, a student television program for students of UTC and the Chattanooga community, placed in three categories of the 2015 Tennessee AP College Competition.

Tyler Pugh’s profile of Richard Winham, on-air host at WUTC, took Best Feature:  2nd place.

Tia Roach wrote and photographed Exoskeleton Demo and Harrison White was the anchor who delivered the story.
  It earned Best Special Topic Reporting:  2nd place.

Best Newscast:  3rd place from October 17 was co-anchored by Joey Guinn and Alex McKay and stories included “Mock Wreck,” “Take Back the Night,” “Obento Workshop,” and “A Walk in My Shoes at the Salvation Army.”
