Charles “Russell” Eaves, 32, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015.
Russell was born on September 15, 1982 in Cleveland, TN. He spent his childhood years in Benton, TN. Russell was a graduate of Polk County High School. After graduation he moved to Rhea County where he was currently living. He was of the Baptist faith. Russell loved playing ball, listening to the passing trains and the occasional 18 wheeler applying their jake brakes. He also took great enjoyment from listening to and have others sing his favorite children’s songs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Eaves; his maternal grandfather, Lawrence “Larry” Hickman; paternal grandparents, Russell & Julie Eaves; and brother, Zebulon Lawrence Eaves.
Russell is survived by his mother, Connie Hickman Eaves; two brothers, John Cody Eaves and his companion Tiffany Martin and Carter Tate Eaves; two sisters, Leslie Mason and her husband Justin and Robin Eave; nieces and nephews, Lauren Mason, Spencer Mason, Olivia Mason, Dakota Cooper and Colter Eaves; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends and caregivers.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to the Rhea of Sunshine group in Dayton, TN for their love and support of Russell.
A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, may 7 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend David Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family and friends will assemble on Friday, May 8 at 11 a.m. in the Chesstuee Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment and committal service.
