Sequatchie County Wins District 7-AA Softball Championship

The Sequatchie County softball team won the District 7-AA championship Monday night with a 9-4 win over Grundy County.

Sequatchie scored six runs in the third inning to take a 7-1 lead.  

Emily Yell got the win, striking out five for Sequatchie. 

Allyson Davenport and Hadley Gray both had homeruns for the Lady Indians. 

Michaela Newman had a triple.

Grundy County's Emily Meeks and Harley Davis each had doubles. 

Both teams will advance to the region tournament.
