For the fourth consecutive year, Tennessee Wesleyan College and radio station J103 have teamed up to award one student a $12,000 scholarship towards the Management Excellence degree completion evening program. This year’s winner is Kassy Mecca. She will receive $12,000 towards her ME degree.
Kassy will graduate from the ADVANCE evening program for working adults at Cleveland State Community College in May and will immediately begin the ME program at TWC’s satellite location at Cleveland State in June.
Kassy is a resident of Cleveland, and is currently employed at Whirlpool.
Kassy was selected as this year’s winner based on her 500-word essay detailing what a college education means to her. Several runner-up winners were also selected, and each of the runners-up received a $1,000 scholarship to be used towards the ME program at TWC. The runners-up are:
Jennifer Green from Athens, TN
Cheri Cresswell from Cleveland, TN
Eyo Efiom from Chattanooga, TN
Trisha Bennett from Madisonville, TN
Jonathan Dover from Hixson, TN
Emily McWhorter from Trion, GA
Abby Gay from Madisonville, TN
Brandi Turner from Dalton, GA
The winner and runners-up were announced at a recent Preview Day on the TWC Athens campus during a live broadcast of J103.
