Terri Holley, owner of Embellish, opened the doors to her shoe and accessory boutique in 2005, while Kent Magee opened Willa Collection in 2007.
Through the years, Ms. Holley and Ms. Magee developed a mutual respect for the others’ boutique. They said they shared a desire to provide apparel, clothing and shoes that are carefully edited for the most discerning client. With Kent Magee joining her husband in relocating to Birmingham in the coming months, the decision of finding a new owner for Willa Collection became an easy one, she said.
“I’ve always admired Terri’s sense of fashion and the way she assembles her collection,” said Ms. Magee. “She shares the same business philosophies as I do, treating clients and team members with the utmost respect and professionalism. Because of this, I know Willa Collection is in very capable hands.”
Ms. Holley said, “Willa Collection offers contemporary clothing, accessories and shoes from around the world. From Rag & Bone, Tibi and Vince to Tom Ford Eyewear, Kent has assembled a collection that meets the desires of those who are very fashion forward in their styles. Our shared commitment to detail and quality is one of the reasons why this transaction has been such an easy one. I appreciate the relationship I’ve developed with Kent and her team and look forward to a very bright future for both boutiques.”
With a celebration planned for May 16, the transition to new ownership will be a seamless one for clients of Willa Collection, said officials. Customers will enjoy brunch foods with Mimosas and Bellinis during the early part of day followed by light mid-day offerings for on-the-go professionals during lunch hour. Later in the day, clients can shop while enjoying a glass of wine and chocolate as they peruse the latest clothing and accessories offered at Willa Collection offered by the same staff they’ve known for years.
