No Boating-Related Fatalities Reported Over Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is reporting that there were no boating-related fatalities over the 2014 Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Across the state, the TWRA Boating and Law Enforcement Division reports there were seven boating incidents, six which were property dame and one with injury. TWRA boating officers made 12 boating under the influence (BUI) arrests and five other arrests.

TWRA officers also checked more than 8,400 vessels, issued 338 court citations and 292 warning citations. The officers assisted 238 boaters.
