Karen Ware, 65, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 28, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Karen was retired from the Catoosa County School System after serving as an administrative assistant for Ringgold and LFO JROTC programs and at Ringgold as a bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.R and Jean Eaves.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bill Ware, sons and daughters-in-law, Britton (Taylor) Ware of Chattanooga, and Graham (Christina) Ware of Ringgold; two grandchildren, Will and Annie Ware of Ringgold. She is also survived by two sisters, Denese Crowder of Hixson, Linda Thomas of Ponotoc, MS and brother, Larry Eaves of Hopkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, at the Ringgold United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ben Cathey officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery, Ringgold.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Ringgold United Methodist Church building fund.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
