Emory Lee McCoin, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on May 25, 2015.
He was born on July 19, 1934 in West Virginia, the son of Emory Lark and Ora Elizabeth McCoin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with his non-military career beginning at Indiana Glass Company and ending at the TVA Watts Bar Plant.
He loved spending time with his family, working in his yard, watching ballgames (especially when his grandkids were playing), camping and driving around on beautiful days.
Surviving relatives include his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Mary McCoin; children, Kenneth (Trish) McCoin, Douglas McCoin, Paul McCoin, Debra (Phil) Headden, Randy McCoin; siblings, Sue (Norman) White, Arnold (Betty) McCoin and Gene (Holly) McCoin; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 29, in the Valley View Chapel with the Reverend Jonathan Parker officiating.  Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.  
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
