The Chattanooga Housing Authority took action with those involved in a fight at East Lake Courts that occurred late last week. Two female victims were involved in the altercation that led to warrants being issued for seven individuals. 13 individuals were identified by CHA authorities and the victims as participants in the incident.

The charges included assault, disorderly conduct, aggravated criminal trespass, and assault on a juvenile. Of the seven suspects, two are residents of the Chattanooga Housing Authority. Along with their arrests, they were issued letters of eviction and must move from public housing within three days. The two female victims were 17 and 26 years old and are residents of East Lake Courts.

CHA Police Chief Felix Vess said, “We take these actions very seriously and seek to evict any resident who is involved in this type of behavior. Within three days, these individuals will no longer live in our community and if they come back on our property, they will be charged with aggravated trespassing. The safety and security of our communities is our top priority.”

All seven suspects are adults with five picked up at present time and placed under arrest.
