Chattanooga Firefighters Start Fill The Boot Campaign For Muscular Dystrophy Association

Chattanooga firefighters will be out in force Friday and Saturday, collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. On Thursday, Mayor Andy Berke and City Council Members Yusuf Hakeem and Chip Henderson helped the firefighters kick off the three-day fundraising campaign at Station 1 on Main Street.

The firefighters will be collecting donations from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. all over the city Friday and Saturday. Here is a list of locations:

The funds raised through this event will support MDA’s life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art clinics and research efforts. The donations also make MDA summer camp possible so kids with muscle disease can enjoy what they’ve called “the best week of the year.”
