Edna “Granny” Swanson, 82, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015 in a Rome Nursing Home.
Mrs. Swanson was born on April 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Andrew Andy and Etta Mae Westbrooks Campbell. Mrs. Swanson was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Mrs. Swanson was retired from The Defenders of Mount Vernon Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. C. L. Swanson; a son, Clarence Eugene Swanson; sister, Annie Ruth Davis; and brothers, Clifford Campbell, Gerald Campbell and Ray Campbell.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Gilliland of Rome; grandchildren, Amber Peace and Emily Peace; great-grandchildren, Cameron Dowdy and Aubrey Dowdy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m. from graveside in Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Ricky Biddle officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
