Frances Knowles, 85, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away early Saturday, May 2, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Walker County, GA on November 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Lillie Ann Nuckles Bowman; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Knowles.
Mrs. Knowles was a self-employed seamstress and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter & spouse, Denise and Randy Haygood; son & spouse, Rev. Don and Mary Knowles all of Summerville; brother & spouse, Bill and Hilda Bowman of Watkinsville, GA; best friend, Doris Bowman; grandchildren, Elizabeth and David Amis, Holly Haygood, Jeremy and Tiffany Knowles; great-granddaughter, Sarah Bell; step-great-grandchildren, Josh and Colin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Decker officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Knowles, Tim Bowman, Joe Tucker, Dennis McCary, Kurt Krueger and Jay Henry.
The Family will receive friends at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home Sunday, May 3 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
