Fly away to Neverland with Peter and the Darling children in Disney's musical adaptation of the animated film. Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. will play at the Manchester Arts Center on May 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 7:30 p.m. and May 9 and 17 at 2 p.m.
Directed by MRC’s Managing Director Noel Clements and based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's play, Disney's Peter Pan, Jr. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up.
Between the production’s two casts, there are around 80 local children involved. “One of the casts is entirely home schooled students,” said Ms. Clements. “We did this for two reasons: we wanted to offer school shows during the day for area school children, and we wanted to showcase our homeschooler's hard work in their theater enrichment class here this semester. Our other cast will be performing most of the night shows. I'm extremely proud of both casts, and Millennium Repertory Company is thrilled to offer so many young people the opportunity to experience performing arts in their own community."
Tickets are available by calling 931-570-4489 or online at millenniumrep.org. Millennium Repertory Company performs at the Manchester Arts Center at 128 E Main St. in Manchester.
