Jimmy Culver
Jimmy Leon Culver, 66, of Niota, Tennessee died on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
He was a graduate of Kirkman High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Korea. He retired from Mohawk Industries and was a master gardener and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John Henry and Nannie Lee Scruggs Culver; two siblings; two son in laws, Lloyd Shaw and Michael Stratton; two beloved granddaughters, Beautiful Sinclair and Brittany Michelle Stratton.
He is survived by his daughters, Jeanie Culver Stratton of Englewood, TN, and Belinda Culver Sinclair of Chattanooga.; brothers, Frankie (Wanda) Culver of Soddy Daisy, George Culver of Hixson, James Culver of Flintstone, and Jerry Culver of Chickamauga; sisters, Barbara Kennedy of Chickamauga, and Mary Richardson and her partner Willie Taylor of Flintstone, GA.; grandchildren, Ashley Stratton, Chris Stratton and Alexis Martin of Englewood, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Dustin Wilds officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Stratton, Gene Trotter, Curtis Trotter, David Richardson, John Richardson, Donnie Kennedy, and Scott Culver.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, from 2-8 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
