Henry Alton “Bud” Moore, 86, of LaFayette, Georgia died on Sunday, April 26, 2015.  

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, he was a self-employed painter and carpenter for over 40 years and was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maura Ruth Waters Moore; son, Ronny Moore;  parents, Henry and Maclena Williams Moore; brother, Larry Moore and two sisters, Montyne Moore and Willie Bell Cline.

He is survived by three children, Danny (Linda) Moore of Athens, TN, Donny Moore of Chickamauga, and Becky (James) Moore of Rock Spring; two sisters, Wanda Davis of LaFayette, and Frances “Blackie” Smith of Knoxville; brother, Eddie Moore of LaFayette; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Arnold Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home LaFayette Chapel, LaFayette, Georgia.
