Judy Nelle Atkins, 66, of Ringgold, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in a local hospital. 

A native and lifelong resident of  the Chattanooga and north Georgia areas, Mrs. Atkins was formerly employed with Olan Mills and Standard Coosa-Thatcher and was of the Methodist faith.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening and going to yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wesley and Nell Frances Adams, brother, James Hammill, and step-father, Drucie Wofford.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Charles Lee Atkins; son and daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Francine Hicks; daughter, Sherry Lynn Seymour; step-children, Carmen Joy Atkins, Charles Jeffery Atkins, Charleston Jay Atkins, and Christina Johnine Sirmons; step-brothers, Ricky and Stanley Wofford; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Atkins officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, from 4–8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
