Night At The Museum Center At 5ive Points Set For Friday

Night at the Museum Center at 5ive Points will be held Friday beginning at 6 p.m.  It will continue until Saturday at 7:30 a.m. 

The evening is for children ages 6-13.  Museum education staff will lead a "night of fun and adventure" in the museum after dark. Guests will spend the night in the museum playing games and other activities throughout the night. 

Activities include Appalachian games, archaeology dig, paper airplane contest, exhibit scavenger hunt, movie and popcorn.   A light late-night snack and a light breakfast will be provided.

Check-in begins at 6 p.m.; activities begin at 6:30 p.m. 

Participants should bring a sleeping bag and pillow, appropriate sleepwear, jacket, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other necessary toiletries (no shower facilities are available), and a flashlight.  Participants may bring a camera, but the museum is not responsible for loss or damage.  

All museum staff and volunteers onsite during this event have completed a background check. The curator of Education is Red Cross certified for adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED.

Parents/guardians will be asked to sign a medical waiver and photo release when they drop off their child.  If a child has restrictive allergies, please provide them with their own snack and breakfast.
