Volkswagen Chairman Ferdinand Piech Resigns

Ferdinand Piech, chairman of Volkswagen, has resigned. 

Officials said that Mr. Piech has resigned because there is "no trust" among the company's board.  There was reported conflict between Mr. Piech and CEO Martin Winterkorn. 

Mr. Piech's wife, Ursula Piech, has also resigned from the company. 

Berthold Huber was named deputy chairman until a new chairman is elected.
