Richard A. Ellison, 68, of Dalton, GA, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the local hospital.

Richard was born January 20, 1947 in Brunswick, GA, to the late James Franklin and Frances Kephart Ellison; and was also preceded in death by his sister, Annette Mery; niece, Kandy Mery Hale; and father-in-law, Bobby Stone.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy A. Stone Ellison of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Melissa Ellison of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Isabella and Eli Ellison; brothers and sisters-in-law, James M. and Peggy Ellison of Dalton, GA, Steve and Jill Ellison of Barton Mills, England; mother-in-law, Thelma Stone; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Brenda and David Crow, Gary and Nina Stone all of Dalton, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Richard A. Ellison will be held Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. from the Liberty Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Cochran, Reverend Mark Seay and Reverend James Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, April 24.
