James Eddie Sells, 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.

James was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Corporal in the United States Army having served during the Korean conflict and was a recipient of the Presidential Unit Citation and several other awards. James had a passion for older cars and was a huge gun enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Sells and Mable Hundley; sisters, Rose Brown and Norma Teagen; and brother, Donald Sells.

He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and (Santiago) Acosta of Chattanooga, Tena and (Ernest) Coots of Lafayette, GA; grandchildren, Wendy Speer, Jesse Ervin, Rachel Bryant, Penelope Lawson and Sabrina Watts; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor James Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, all day Sunday, and prior to service on Monday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes - Fort Oglethorpe.
