8th Annual Palate 2 Palette Fundraiser Is Saturday

  • Thursday, April 23, 2015

The Craniofacial Foundation of America (CFA) will host its eighth annual Palate 2 Palette event on Saturday. Palate 2 Palette is one of Chattanooga’s most unique fundraisers featuring the best of the city’s visual, floral and culinary talent in an evening dedicated to celebrating the arts in the city’s historic Southside District.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the Gallery Stroll will take guests through a magical journey of “The Wizard of Us” based on the classic film The Wizard of Oz. Each gallery on the stroll will tell a story based on characters from the movie that pairs with a family or child associated with the CFA.

The galleries will provide an interactive experience for guests, including this year's first-ever digital gallery at Debarge Winery. Other themed gallery stops include:

?      Area 61 – Kansas

?      Church on Main – Munchkin Land

?      Cobblestone Rue – Scarecrow Field

?      Crashpad – The Forest of Flying Monkeys

?      Gallery 1401 – The Field of Poppies

?      Hart Gallery – Lion's Den

?      Miki Boni Studios – Castle of Glenda the Good Witch

Following the gallery stroll, guests will lace up their ruby red dancing shoes and enter the majestic Emerald City at Track 29, where they’ll dance the night away to Willie Kitchens and his band.  From 8 to 10 p.m., this Bubbles & Sweets after party will feature hors d'oeuvres and desserts by Impressions Catering paired with sparkling champagne compliments of Athens Distributing.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Craniofacial Foundation of America, a nonprofit organization that supports the work of the Tennessee Craniofacial Center (TCC) at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger and Erlanger Health System. The TCC specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages with craniofacial deformities with services covering a broad range of operations and treatment from birth defects, tumors and trauma.

“Palate 2 Palette is always a magical evening, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to share the Craniofacial Foundation’s impact on families around the world,” said Terry Smyth, executive director of the CFA. “We’re very excited about the talented artists who are participating this year and can’t wait to see how they celebrate our CFA families.”

Patron tickets to the event are $100 per person and $150 each for VIP, which also includes access to an open bar from 7 to 10 p.m.
