James Ashley “Jad” Dunagan, 35, of Rocky Face, GA, died on Sunday, April, 19, 2015.
Jad was born November 13, 1979 in Denver, CO. He was employed by Armstrong Relocation in Ooltewah, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Monroe and Marie Dunagan. He enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors with his family. He loved his motorcycle and Alabama football. He was easy going and loved life. He had a heart for helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Dunagan; sons, Joshua Alex Dunagan and Jacob Avery Dunagan; daughter, Rachelle Nicole Dunagan all of Rocky Face, GA; mother, Luanne Dunagan of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin and Cyndi Dunagan of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Susan “Aleta” Dunagan-Porter and John Porter of Rocky Face, GA; 13 close nieces and nephews, Kaelyn, Christian, Amelia, Dustin, Josh, Gloria, Katlyn, Bryanna, Blaze, Cison, Kelcey, Tyler, Mitchel and Madalynn Buzzutto; and other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Ashley “Jad” Dunagan will be held Thursday, April 23, at 4 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with John Paul Bledsoe officiating. He will be transported to Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery by Armstrong Relocation. Interment will follow in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery with John Porter, B.J. Dunagan, Josh Dunagan, Tyler Holcomb, Paul Boyette and Jeremy McKiddy serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
