Ted Ghorley, 70, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Ghorley was preceded in death by his parents, Avenelle Lillard Ghorley and Hoyt Ghorley; grandson, Michael Davis; great-grandsons, LeLand and River Bates; sisters, Faye Cain and Jane Atkins; and his brother, Dale Ghorley.
He attended church at the Full Gospel House of Prayer and loved to garden and watch Nascar Races. He is retired from Bowater Paper Mill after 29 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 45 years, Faye Ghorley; children, Ellen Davis, Mary Riddle both of Villa Rica, GA, Tracy Honey and her husband David, Sandra Keith and Bryan Keith and his wife Sherry all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Alex Davis, Chris Trammell and John Trammell all of Villa Rica, GA, Tasha Moses of Nashville, Matt Moses of Arkansas, Jeremy Breese and his wife Kady of Jacksonville, FL, Brittany Breese, Cassie Moses, Devin Farmer, Hunter Farmer and Blake Honey all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Skyler Bates, Rylee Rogers and Braylee Breese; sister, Laura Ann Hinkle; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conduced Thursday, April 23, at 6 p.m. from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Mike Ferree and Reverend Clifton Potter officiating.
Interment will follow on Friday, April 24, at 11 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Robbie Davis, Robbie Wooden, Timmy Davis, Eric Edwards, David Honey and Jeffrey Davis serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23 from 2-6 p.m. at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes, who has charge of arrangements.
