Ansel Spires, 85, a longtime resident of Chattanooga, died on April 19, 2015 in Greenwood, SC. 

He was a former member of East Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Spires; daughter, Kim Reagin; and son, Tim Spires.

Services will be held in South Carolina.
