Public Art Chattanooga Requests Input Online For M.L. King District Mural

  • Friday, April 17, 2015

Public Art Chattanooga is requesting public input via an online questionnaire for a mural that will be a transformative anchor in the M.L. King District’s revitalization efforts. On Monday, people attended two public input meetings in the Innovation District with nationally-recognized artist, Meg Saligman, who has been commissioned to create the M.L.

King District Mural.

During these input sessions, Ms. Saligman gathered ideas from people in Chattanooga to inform the creation and development of the project, which will inspire a sense of place and pride for the neighborhood. Since the mural process is inclusive and collaborative, Public Art Chattanooga is asking people to join the ongoing dialogue by answering a short questionnaire online.

The M.L. King District Mural is made possible through a partnership with AT&T and generous funding from the Benwood and Lyndhurst Foundations.

A link to fill out the questionnaire online is located here: publicartchattanooga.com.
