Youth And Family Development Department Holds Book Drive

The City of Chattanooga Youth and Family Development Department is sponsoring the Chattanooga Citywide Book Drive.

Officials said, "YFD is dedicated to collecting books to promote literacy in our communities and promote the importance of being a life time reader.  Last year,  over 8,000 books were collected and this year were geared up to collect more. The City of Chattanooga is committed to improving the literacy of our youth. Let's make sure our youth have the books they need to be successful."

Donations are being accepted at:

All 17 YFD (recreation centers);

All 4 Branches of The Chattanooga Library;

Hamilton Place Mall (tourist desk);

Chattanooga City Hall; and

YFD Administration Office.
