Nightfall Concert Series Begins 27th Season May 1

  • Wednesday, April 15, 2015

The Nightfall Concert Series begins its 27th year of summer musical programming for 19 weeks straight, running each Friday night from May 1-Sept. 4.

Presented and produced by Chattanooga Presents, Nightfall is a free outdoor concert series featuring headline performances by a broad spectrum of music performed by superior national and international artists, many of whom are performing for the first time in Chattanooga. In keeping with tradition, Nightfall also has a commitment to the local music scene by featuring Chattanooga bands as opening acts each week. Openers begin at 7 p.m., followed the headliner at 8 p.m.

This year, Nightfall announced it will no longer be using a ticket system for beverage purchases. The new point of sales system will eliminate the need for tickets and now allow patrons to pay directly with cash, credit card or debit card for beer, wine or moonshine cocktails at the point at which they’re served.

According to Carla Pritchard, owner of Chattanooga Presents, “We are excited about this transition, which we believe is in the best interest and convenience for our patrons. Attendees can now get in just one line to have their ID checked, pay and receive their choice of beverage. Plus, they no longer have to keep up with tickets.”

Also new this year are Nightfall discount beverage cards, which will offer a 20 percent savings on drink purchases. The cards will be worth $100, but cost $80 to purchase. The Nightfall discount cards are available now on the Nightfall website www.NightfallChattanooga.com and will be offered at each show at the Nightfall merchandise table next to the pavilion.

Food trucks and non-alcoholic drink concessions are also available on site. No outside food or beverages are allowed to be brought in to Nightfall.

Below is the entire 2015 Nightfall schedule listed by headliner first with, followed by the local opening band. This year’s schedule has been extended by an additional date to include a special “Mocs Take Over Nightfall” on Sept. 4, which will feature a regular Nightfall show, preceded by a UTC Pep Rally.
