Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee Is April 25-26

  • Monday, April 13, 2015

Bicycle enthusiasts from across the state are preparing for the annual Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee, which will kick off its Spring Ride on Saturday, April 25, showcasing Middle Tennessee’s beautiful countryside.

“Something about Middle Tennessee just keeps calling us back,” Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee Director Ryan Forbess said.

“This ride is basically a weekend version of our larger week-long ride in the Fall.”

Originating from Henry Horton State Park, this year’s route will range from 55-65 miles a day.

“We want to show cyclists who have never participated in a week-long tour what bicycle tours are all about,” Mr. Forbes added. “This two-day ride makes it easier for cyclists who have never participated in a tour to experience what the BRAT is all about. It also allows our veteran cyclists a chance to start the cycling season off right.”
