Mary "Jody" Bible
Mary “Jody” Bible, 87, of Hixson died on Monday, March 30, 2015.
A native of Jackson, MS, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian James Brewer.
She was a former resident of the Huntsville area where she was active in the Monte Sano Civic Association, Monte Sano United Methodist Church and the Monte Sano Garden Club. She was a present member of Burks United Methodist Church where she was active in the Eldredge Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Bible.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sybil Gail Bible and Donna (Steven) Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher Kirk (Rebecca) Johnson, Michael Lee Johnson and Matthew Henry Johnson.
The family will gather with friends on Friday, April 3, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Amy Nutt officiating. Members of the Eldredge Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burks United Methodist Church or the Monte Sano United Methodist Church Building Fund.
