Red Bank Police said a topless woman on Monday ran outside from a man who was threatening to kill her.

Christopher Demetrius Lane, 20, of 4324 Shawnee Circle, was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual battery.

Police went to 1105 Dayton Blvd. after a caller who would not give a name said there was loud screaming and what sounded like a physical altercation in the parking lot.

Police found Lane yelling at a shirtless Crystal Williams, who said she had been in a sexual relationship off and on with Lane for over five years.

An officer said Lane began walking toward Room #41 and refused a command to halt. The officer said Lane went inside and he heard what sounded like a commode lid being dropped. Later, a handgun was found in the commode tank.

Police said there was a .380 bullet lying on the floor next to the bed.

Ms. Williams said Lane had come to her residence on Ormand Drive in Red Bank and directed her to get into his truck. She said she saw a gun in the vehicle so she did what she was told.

She said Lane took her to the Great Value Inn. She said once inside the rented room that Lane forcibly removed her shirt and bra. She said at that point she ran outside screaming, hoping for help.

She said Lane had a gun in his hand and told her, "I swear on my momma I’m gonna kill you in this parking lot."
