Salvation Army Celebrates Easter With Sunrise Service At National Cemetery

The Salvation Army will celebrate Easter with its traditional Easter Sunrise Service at the National Cemetery at 1200 Bailey Avenue beside the flag pole overlooking beautiful downtown Chattanooga!  For close to four decades, The Salvation Army has partnered with the National Cemetery for the Easter Sunrise Service.  All are invited to worship at 7:23 a.m. as the sun rises over Chattanooga.   

Music will be provided by the internationally acclaimed Jericho Brass band.  Our guest speaker, Salvation Army Chattanooga Area Commander, Major Algerome Newsome, will deliver the message.  The Salvation Army is expecting an attendance of more than 300. The service will be held rain or shine.

The Citadel Corps located at 1019 North Moore Road 

Tuesday- Bible Study at 6:30 PM
Viewing of the Passion of Christ

Thursday- Women's Ministries at 10:00 AM
Easter special and egg stuffing 

Friday- Good Friday Service at 6:00 PM in the Citadel Chapel (Lantern Release) 

Sunday- Easter Breakfast (following Sunrise) 8:30 AM
9:00/9:15 AM combined Sunday School- Celebrate His Resurrection 
10:00 AM - Flowering of the Cross
10:15AM - Easter Worship Service
11:00/11:30 AM- Easter Egg Hunt 

614 Corps located at 800 McCallie Avenue 

Holy Thursday- Service: 10:00 AM (Christian Passover Seder) 

Good Friday- Service: 10:00 AM (Stations of The Cross) 

Easter Sunday- Service: 10:15 AM 

East Lake Corps located at 2140 East 28th Street 

Tuesday- Older Adult Ministry Class Easter Program at 2:00 PM 

Wednesday- Night Prayer Meeting at 5:00 PM 

Easter Sunday-  Breakfast 9:00 AM and Soldier Enrollment at 10:00 AM.   

Cleveland Corps located at 437 Inman Street West

Maundy Thursday - Thursday at 6:30 PM

Good Friday service - 6:00 PM

Saturday Easter Egg hunt at Fletcher Park from 2:00-4:00 PM

Easter Sunday Service at 11:00 AM
