Cougars Losing Streak Now Seven

  • Saturday, March 28, 2015

Cleveland State's losing streak reaches seven after Saturday's double header loss to conference leading Walters State.

The Senators scored the first five runs in game one and never trailed throughout the day.  The Cougars put together two runs in the first game, but it wasn't enough, losing 5-2.

Andrew Towns pitched four hitless innings in game two for Walters State (33-5, 14-1) allowing one unearned run and picking up the victory.  Cleveland State (12-14, 3-11) managed just one hit in the second game, losing 9-1.

The Cougars look to stop their seven game skid when they take the field this Tuesday in a double header hosting Tusculum College JV in a double header.  First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
