Taurus T. Pollard, 37, died on March 26, 2015 at a local hospital.
He attended Howard High School. He was employed at Parkridge Hospital. Taurus enjoyed playing basketball and taking long walks. He was very passionate about his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Pollard, Sr. and sister, Tabitha Pollard.
Survivors include his longtime girlfriend, Shamekia Moore; sons, Taurus Pollard, Jr. and Ledetrus Pollard; daughters, Tomesha Dean and Tadashi Moon; grandson, Ky’len Moon; mother, Sara Winston; grandparents, Vernetta and Arto Jackson; brothers, Michael, Jr., (Keena), Carlos and Marcus; sister, Laura Pollard, all of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Darryl Van Hood, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, April 2, and the family will receive friends from 7–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
