Man Shot On 6th Avenue Thursday Afternoon

The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at 2500 6th Ave. at approximately 1:39 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers located a black male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Shortly after the shooting occurred, officers located a potential suspect who is in custody at this time.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
