Charlotte Blocker
Charlotte Gonia Blocker, 92, died in her home on March 25, 2015.
Born in Chattanooga, Charlotte graduated from Central High School and attended Secretarial School. She worked for Ragland Brothers, TVA and Social Security.
Charlotte was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and a faithful volunteer for Changed Lives of Chattanooga.
In 2012 she lost Joseph W. Blocker, the love of her life and husband of almost 70 years.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, I.B. Goins, Jr. and Arthor Winston Gonia.
Charlotte is survived by nieces, Rama Gonia and Norma (Jimmy) Bryan; several cousins, Grace (Eddie) Ogle, Pauline Lopez, Betty Sue Machn, Edsul Hartman, Patricia West, Robert Long and her namesake, Charlotte Hall (Jim) Sexton.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 30, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Paul Ritch and Chris Ehlers officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. With David Cooper, David Mattoon, C.J. Moore, Don Nichols, Ron Kohlin and Don Elkins serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29, from 3-7 p.m. and Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
