Department Of Health Southeast Regional Office, Grundy County Health Department Receive Awards

The Tennessee Department of Health Southeast Regional Office and the Grundy County Health Department were honored at the 22nd Annual Excellence in Tennessee Awards Banquet.  The Southeast Regional Office received the TNCPE Level 1 Interest Award which is the beginning level for organizations interested in adopting and applying performance improvement principles.  Grundy County Health Department received a TNCPE Level 2 Commitment Award.   

The awards were presented by Greg Adams, chief operating officer, State of Tennessee, and TNCPE President and CEO Katie Rawls.  Glenn Czarnecki, regional director of the Southeast Region, accepted the award for SERO and Charlene Nunley, Grundy County Health Department director, and Haley Colvin, nutritionist with the Grundy County Health Department, accepted the award for the Health Department. 

Nearly 400 business and community leaders from across Tennessee packed the ballroom of the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs to salute the winners.  Forty-eight organizations representing high-performing businesses, government agencies, nonprofit and education organizations were recognized for their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
