Environmental Biology Expert To Speak At Southern Adventist University

  • Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Southern Adventist University will host environmental biology and public policy expert Tim Standish on Wednesday, April 8 at 8 p.m. in room 3135 of the Hulsey Wellness Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Mr. Standish, researcher at the Geoscience Research Institute in Loma Linda, Ca., will address the contrasting ideas of survival between evolution and creationism in his presentation “Competition and Cooperation.”

"While the survival of the fittest is a concept central in Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, the Bible has themes of surrender and cooperation with God.

Mr. Standish will discuss the views surrounding how survival has changed after the fall of humanity and God’s will for human existence," organizers said.
