Iva Herron
Iva McDaniel Herron, 79, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
Born in Rome, GA to the late Sam and Clementine Elliot, she had lived in Chickamauga for most of her life and was a member of the Rossville Seventh-Day Adventist church. She loved gardening as well as spending time with her beloved family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Claude Herron, and more recently, her husband, John McDaniel; her son, Michael Wayne Herron; and daughter, Barbara Shirley.
Survivors include her son, Joe (Tricia) Herron of Chickamauga; daughter, Deborah (David) Mannis of Chickamauga; sisters, Jurrelle Murphy and Ruth Lyle, both of Marietta GA; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor David King Officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, and prior to the service on Thursday.
