Free SonRise Resurrection Pageant tickets will be distributed to community members March 23 at 6 p.m. inside Hamilton Place mall at a kiosk in front of Belk (Men & Home). Typically, all 7,000 tickets are given away in 90 minutes.
The annual pageant portrays Christ’s last days with 500 costumed cast members, live animals, and dramatic sets. The one-mile walk-through event recreates six interactive scenes from the Bible.
Started in 1996, attendance at this event ranges from 6,000 to 10,000 people annually. SonRise is a collaboration of Southern Adventist University and the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists.
